Some Early Leaf Peeping

I got a little obsessed with Knitty's Foliage hat last night. Some friends were planning to pick me up to go to a party, and one of them called to tell me they were running late. "That's fine - I'm knitting a hat and I'm completely obsessed with it at the moment - take your time." I used an orphan ball of Malabrigo Chunky. I finished all the lace by the time they arrived, and then the brim before I went to bed.

This is a great hat pattern! The lace is relatively easy, making it a good starter project for beginner lace-knitters. At the very least, it provides much more instant gratification than a lace shawl....

That´s a really pretty hat, Ellen. Love the color!

Cute hat. I started one Saturday night and I love it so far.

It was nice meeting you on Saturday. =) Have a great week.

Very cute! That is one of my favorite patterns this time.

That's a great hat! When the issue first came out, I didn't even look at that pattern. But once I saw it on Ravelry, I knew I'd have to make one, too.
