In recent months, whenever someone came into the shop searching for Malabrigo Lace, I asked "Oh, are you making the Whisper Cardigan?" Some people thought I was a mind reader, but I was just noticing a big trend. Laurie was part of this trend, and recently had a Whisper FO to show!
She reports that of all of her FOs, this is her favorite. (By the way,
more Malabrigo Lace is on the way, along with other Malabrigo yarns...)
Kathleen scooped up one of the pink/brown skeins of Sea Wool that I asked Fleece Artist to dye for the shop. She made a Baby Surprise Jacket and a pair of booties. (Cute!)
Sandie made another pair of socks! This colorway is from Kaffe Fassett's line for Regia.
Rose has let us borrow the Tesla she made out of Hand Maiden Sea Silk in the Amethyst colorway. This scarf was designed by Deb Barnhill, who visited the shop earlier this year. The scarf takes one skein of Sea Silk, and lets you dabble with a little beading. Rose said the lace pattern was easy to remember because it is a four-row repeat, and of the four rows, 1 and 2 are the same, and then 3 and 4 are the same. I think I can handle that!
Well done everyone!
All of the FO's are delightful! Perfect for gifts and perfect for ME! Love the Whisper Cardigan. I'm going to have to take a look at that Malibrigo Lace!

Wow, I had seen the Whisper Cardigan in the mag and thought it ho hum. However, after seeing it on Laurie (she's such a cutie anyway) I believe I must make this!
Maybe I can get Denise to swing by the shop (yeah, that's a toughie) after the Highland Games (kilts...yummie) this Saturday.
Hi to everyone!
